Karen Pittman (The Morning Show) is set for a recurring role opposite Kevin Costner on the upcoming third season of Paramount Network’s flagship drama series Yellowstone.

Co-created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson, Yellowstone follows the Dutton family, led by John Dutton (Costner), who controls the largest contiguous ranch in the United States, under constant attack by those it borders – land developers, an Indian reservation, and America’s first National Park.

In a major arc, Pittman will play Willa Hays. Very smart, confident, intimidating, walks with the posture of a field general, all sharp angles (her hair, her suit, her thousand dollar shoes), Willa is the CEO of Metro Capital. An astute businesswoman who seems to always get what she wants, Willa has come to Yellowstone to make John Dutton (Costner) an offer that he can’t refuse.

Former The Alienist star Q’orianka Kilcher and Jennifer Landon (Animal Kingdom) are set for recurring roles on the upcoming third season of Yellowstone, Paramount Network’s flagship drama series starring Kevin Costner.
Co-created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson, Yellowstone follows the Dutton family, led by John Dutton (Costner), who controls the largest contiguous ranch in the United States, which is under constant attack by those it borders – land developers, an Indian reservation and America’s first National Park.
Kilcher will play Angela Blue Thunder, a Native American and political opponent of Tom Rainwater. Thunder is described as a woman with pain in her past and unadulterated fury in her present. Convinced that Rainwater’s management of the casino has been a catastrophe, she shows up in his office, ready to punish the world (and Tom Rainwater) for all the things it did to her.
Landon will play Teeter, a new wrangler on the Yellowstone Ranch. Teeter is a snuff dipping, sunbaked, expert wrangler.

Yellowstone is co-produced by 101 Studios. Executive producers are John Linson, Art Linson, Taylor Sheridan, Costner, David C. Glasser and Bob Yari.
A ratings juggernaut, Yellowstone continues its run as cable’s most-watched summer series and is up double digits across all key demos compared to season one to-date averages.

Forrie J. Smith, who has recurred as Lloyd on Yellowstone since season 1, has been promoted to series regular for the upcoming third season, and John Emmet Tracy (iZombie) is set for a recurring role on Paramount Network’s flagship drama series starring Kevin Costner.

Co-created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson, Yellowstone follows the Dutton family, led by John Dutton (Costner), who controls the largest contiguous ranch in the United States, which is under constant attack by those it borders – land developers, an Indian reservation and America’s first National Park.
Smith has appeared in a total of 13 episodes as Lloyd Pierce, cow boss for John Dutton.

Tracy will play Ellis Steele, a chief litigator whose firm represents Fortune 500 companies in land-acquisition deals. Steele is extremely intelligent — the kind of person who will smile as he stabs you in the back.

The sophomore cycle of the Kevin Costner drama returns Wednesday.

Paramount Network is showing early confidence in Yellowstone.

The Viacom-owned basic cable network has renewed the Kevin Costner vehicle for a third season. The news arrives mere hours before the Taylor Sheridan drama returns for its second season on Wednesday. Season three will again consist of 10 episodes and return in 2020.

The early pickup arrives after Yellowstone became a breakout last year for the rebranded Paramount Network. The first season averaged 5.1 million total viewers, making it the most-watched new cable series of 2018 and the second-most-watched across all cable series for the frame.

Yellowstone, co-created by Sheridan (Sicario) and John Linson, was the first scripted drama developed specifically for Paramount Network (formerly Spike TV). The series, greenlit by former Paramount Network president Kevin Kay, anchors a scripted roster that includes the recently announced Josh Hartnett-led series Paradise Lost, Ron Howard’s 68 Whiskey and Darren Star’s Emily in Paris, toplined by Lily Collins. The cabler is also expected to add another star-driven drama to that roster in the coming days.

Yellowstone is produced by 101 Studios and counts Linson, Art Linson, Sheridan, Costner, David C. Glasser and Bob Yari among its executive producers.
